What to Expect
Before Treatment
To reduce the risk of bruising, avoid NSAIDs, alcohol, and certain supplements for several days before your appointment.
During Treatment
The area may be numbed topically. The filler is then carefully injected. Many fillers also contain lidocaine to improve comfort during the procedure.
After Treatment
Swelling and possible bruising are common and can last for a few days to two weeks. Results are visible but will settle over time.
